08:45 - 10:45Session I - Project Presentations: Carbon Project OriginationFrom e-mobility to methane avoidance, this session breaks down the technical and commercial pathways for transforming early-stage initiatives into bankable, high-integrity carbon assets.

Ms. Sunny Tran, Head of Carbon Credits (Aquila)
By integrating carbon finance into Southeast Asia's EV transition, Aquila leverages tech-based data from projects like DatBike to monetize emission reductions. This model provides the critical financial catalyst needed to scale green transportation infrastructure across Vietnam. (slides)

Mr. Brice Perombelon, Consultant Portfolio Manager & Origination Lead (Aither Impact)
Navigating the rigorous eligibility criteria of the global aviation sector, this session aligns local project design with CORSIA's high-integrity attributes. It bridges the technical gap between Vietnamese origination and the specific demand requirements of international airlines. (slides)

Mr. Nguyễn Võ Trường An, CEO of CCTPA (CT Group)
This integrated carbon ecosystem spans Improved Forest Management (IFM) and industrial waste-to-energy, optimized through specialized trading platforms. The focus remains on deploying financial models that scale Vietnam's industrial and nature-based assets for the global market. (slides)

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Rice Project Manager (Rikolto International)
Rikolto transforms sustainable rice cultivation into high-integrity carbon credits through robust methane quantification and farmer-centric data systems. This approach establishes the MRV frameworks necessary to monetize large-scale agricultural methane avoidance. (slides)

10:40 - 12:00Session II - Nature & Community-Based Carbon SolutionsThis session highlights the transition of grant-led conservation and circular economy models into scalable, community-driven nature-based solutions (NbS).

Dr Trịnh Tú Anh, head of Sustainability (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh) Ms Sương Nguyễn, member of leadership team (Women4Mangrove)
This women-led restoration model in Cù Lao Dung integrates regenerative livelihoods with blue carbon potential across 1,800 hectares. It provides a blueprint for transitioning conservation efforts from public spending to commercially viable carbon projects. (slides)

Ms. Trần Thị Hoa, Director (GreenHub)
GreenHub's "Zero Waste" framework aggregates community-level waste management and plastic recycling into credible carbon credit portfolios. The model proves that localized circular economy practices can meet international standards for methane reduction at scale. (slides)

Mr. Trịnh Lê Nguyên, Executive Director (PanNature)
By intersecting biodiversity conservation with community-managed forestry, PanNature generates premium credits that prioritize ecosystem health. This strategy ensures that local environmental stewardship is backed by robust MRV to meet the highest market integrity demands. (slides)

13:30 - 14:20Session III - Public & Development Agency PerspectivesExpert analysis on the institutional frameworks and integrity standards essential for scaling Vietnam's carbon market through international cooperation and forest-based climate action.

Ms. Lê Thị Lộc, Senior Project Officer (GIZ)
Transitioning from traditional conservation to carbon-financed models requires navigating complex regulatory landscapes. This deep-dive into Improved Forest Management (IFM) identifies the commercial opportunities and technical hurdles of integrating international finance into Vietnam's national forest strategy. (slides)

Representative from UNDP (TBC)
Implementing high-integrity frameworks that empower local stakeholders to negotiate fairer terms while embedding SDG impacts and social safeguards into the core of Vietnam's carbon market architecture. (slides)

14:30 - 14:50Session IV - Government OutlookA technical breakdown of the regulatory compliance and certification standards governing high-integrity forest carbon projects in Vietnam.

Dr. Vũ Tấn Phương, Director (VFCC)
Navigating the path to certification requires strict adherence to additionality, reference level determination, and robust MRV protocols. This session clarifies the core regulatory requirements and environmental-social safeguards necessary for successful project registration under Vietnamese law. (slides)

14:50 - 15:10Session V - Private Capital & Market EntryInsights into the investment criteria and strategic deployment of private capital within Vietnam's evolving carbon asset classes.

Ms. Phùng Nguyệt Phương, Carbon Credit Expert (VinaCapital)
VinaCarbon's investment strategy prioritizes scalable, high-impact climate assets that align with VinaCapital's multi-sector expertise. By focusing on bankability and risk-adjusted returns, this model demonstrates how private equity can bridge the financing gap for Vietnam's net-zero transition. (slides)

Why Vietnam?
Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing carbon markets, driven by ambitious net-zero commitments and a rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. The government's pledge to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 has catalyzed a wave of investment in carbon credit projects across energy, forestry, and agriculture.
As of early 2025, Vietnam has over 300-360+ registered carbon credit projects across various international standards (CDM, VCS, Gold Standard, JCM). It ranks 4th globally for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, with roughly 274 registered and over 40 million credits issued. (Source)
